OUR BUSINESS ~
Muff Ag Services is owned and operated by Andy & Hayley Muff. We currently live and operate our business on our 10-acre farm built from the ground up beginning in 2006, with our house, two hog barns, and a seed & chemical warehouse. We farm corn and soybeans, as well as custom raising hogs.
Andy Muff grew up on small farm in Hancock County and received his education from Ventura High School, NIACC and Iowa State University. After college Andy spent 12 years doing research with his father which resulted in the invention of Y Drop. He also has 10 years’ experience in the seed, chemical and commercial spraying industry. He uses this life experience to guide growers to make the best agronomic decisions to make their farms successful. His favorite part of his job is working side by side with growers, sharing knowledge and experiences back and forth. In his free time he loves raising bucket bottle calves and lambs with his kids and watching Iowa State athletics!
Hayley (Klooster) Muff grew up in Garner, IA and graduated from Garner High School. She experienced the farm life at her Kalkwarf grandparents in rural Garner. She graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree from NIACC, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s of Education Degree from Iowa State University. She enjoys using her accounting degree and banking experience to help the business as the full-time business manager. She enjoys the diversity of her position that involves invoicing, inventory, purchasing and marketing. She loves working with Andy every day and the flexibility to take care of their 3 children. Her passions include traveling which have included China, Europe and Australia. He favorite memory is visiting Disney World with her children. She also enjoys Shutterfly Online scrapbooking and supporting Iowa State Athletics.
Trae Hestness is our full-time Operations Manager. He graduated from Newman Catholic Schools in Mason City. His love of farming came from his experiences on his grandparent’s farm in Nora Springs and his previous work at Living History Farms and Historic Wagner Farm in Glenview, Illinois. He is an Iowa State University graduate and Pi Kappa Phi alumnus. He uses his Iowa State University degree and work experience to manage our livestock, warehouse and spraying needs. He enjoys working with customers and providing the best customer service possible. He is proficient in agriculture, technology and logistics. Trae enjoys coaching baseball for Newman in the summer during his spare time and Iowa State athletics.
Combining industry experience with local service, Muff Ag is committed to personal service.
